Terms of use
Last updated October 5, 2026
Practices that use IntakeBird do so under a written agreement with us, including a Business Associate Agreement where needed. If that agreement and these terms disagree, the agreement applies.
The service
IntakeBird provides software that behavioral-health practices use to manage client intake. IntakeBird is not a healthcare provider, does not give medical or clinical advice, and does not decide whether a client is suitable for a therapist; those decisions belong to the practice.
Not for emergencies
IntakeBird is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911. In the United States you can call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
Accounts
Practice staff must keep their sign-in details private and use the service only for their practice's work. Practices are responsible for who they give access to and for the information they collect.
Acceptable use
- Do not try to access information that belongs to another practice or that your role does not allow.
- Do not interfere with the service, test its security without our written permission, or upload harmful files.
- Do not use the service to send unsolicited messages.
Privacy
Our privacy policy explains how information is handled.
Availability and changes
We work to keep IntakeBird available and secure, and may improve or change it over time. We will tell practices about changes that affect how they use it.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the website is provided as it is, and our responsibilities to practices are set out in our agreement with them.
